Company's History
On October 1st, 1979 the company Andresen was founded by the sales engineer Jens Andresen in Bargteheide near Hamburg, Germany, as a business with sole proprietorship. The founder is looking back on long-standing experience in the field of laundry accessories, having worked in the business since 1968.
The company developed favourably so that in the course of time the premises became too small and had to be extended. New facilities, existing to this day, were built in 1985, with an extension building being completed in 1995. On January 1st, 2001, the company was converted into Andresen GmbH, a limited liability company. In 2007 we were able to acquire the neighbouring property accommodating a production hall.
Manufacture which until then had been located in different places could be brought together, thus creating additional space for future extensions. Since the very beginnings, the company has focused on the development, production and sales of new products for laundry ironers and presses. In this, a close co-operation with leading manufacturers of ironing presses was cultivated in order to participate in developing new equipment.
In this way, by joint testing we often were able to come up with solutions to technical problems. Owing to this, we have long since become original equipment manufacturer for ironing press accessories in various fields. Most of our staff have a technical background and long-term experience with the theory and practice of ironing presses. In Northern Germany, sales to laundries are carried out by our own team of service technicians. The remaining parts of Germany are looked after by the service sections of our renowned partner companies (with service departments). Over the past few years, export has become ever more important. International distribution and service is taken care of by selected specialised local companies.
Thanks to our extensive storage facilities, we are in the favourable position to supply all customers on a national and international scale immediately ex-stock.
